NO SCHOOL/NO ESCUELA

No school: Wednesday, August 26 & Thursday, August 27 due to weather

Dear YES Prep Northwest Families,

As Hurricane Laura approaches the Gulf Coast, we are bracing for the severe weather and will not be holding virtual school tomorrow or Thursday. Online classes are also canceled tomorrow and Thursday for our partnership campuses in SBISD and Aldine ISD. We will follow guidance from local officials and keep you updated on plans for resuming classes Friday based on the storm’s impact.
 
We absolutely hate that we are having to cancel school just two days into the new year, but as always, the safety of the YES Prep community is our highest priority.
 
To those of you who lived through Katrina, Harvey, Ike, or any other traumatic storm and are reliving that trauma, we want you to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
 
Be strong and stay safe, and we’ll be back in touch soon.

Estimadas familias de YES Prep Northwest,

A medida que el huracán Laura se acerca a la costa del Golfo, nos estamos preparando para el clima severo y no tendremos escuela virtual ni mañana ni el jueves. Las clases en línea también se cancelan mañana y jueves para nuestros campus asociados en SBISD y Aldine ISD. Seguiremos la orientación de los funcionarios locales y lo mantendremos informado sobre los planes para reanudar las clases el viernes en función del impacto de la tormenta.

Odiamos absolutamente tener que cancelar la escuela solo dos días después del año nuevo, pero como siempre, la seguridad de la comunidad de YES Prep es nuestra máxima prioridad.

Para aquellos de ustedes que vivieron Katrina, Harvey, Ike o cualquier otra tormenta traumática y están reviviendo ese trauma, queremos que sepan que están en nuestros pensamientos y oraciones durante este momento difícil.
