STAAR Survey	We ask that you please complete this survey:  Spring STAAR Survey Students are required to take STAAR test on campus. We'll need to plan accordingly such as, if the student requires a YP laptop, meals, or transportation when attending in-person.

Campus Cell Policy Update: Cell Phone Consequence Ladder (to start on 5/3)

If student is caught with their phone outside the permitted times, the following will happen:

• 1^st offense – demerit logged in HERO by teacher and student will be instructed to hand over the cell phone to teacher and the teacher will turn the phone into the front office staff.

• 2^nd offense – Student will receive a restorative reflection during lunch that will be logged in HERO by GLC, a phone call home, student will be instructed to hand over the cell phone to teacher and the teacher will turn the phone into the front office staff.

• 3^rd offense – Student will receive a restorative reflection during lunch that will be logged in HERO by GLC, a phone call home, student will be instructed to hand over the cell phone to teacher and the teacher will turn the phone into the front office staff.

• 4^th offense – Student can no longer bring cell phone on campus. 

Cell Phone Pick-up Expectation: Students will be able to pick up their phone in the front office from 3:40pm-3:45pm with a hall pass from their 4^th period teacher.

We have partnered with HEB to provide On-Site COVID Vaccinations for your staff, 18+ students and their 18+ immediate/household family members.

STAAR Update

Students will be required to take their STAAR tests on campus, using a YES Prep Laptop. If the student currently does not have a YP Laptop, a device will be provided on day of testing. Students will receive school breakfast and lunch on STAAR Testing days.

Use the Bus Route listed below to help you locate the stop closest to your house and identify the pick up and drop off times.

ATHLETICS UPDATE

If your student is participating in any sports, Coach Davis sends updates via email - make sure to check your email for updates.

Reminder, for this School year we are NOT allowing spectators at practices/games, but we are live streaming games on our Athletics Youtube Channel

Basketball Schedule: 

• Practices and games will take place on Monday's and Wednesday's
  • Practice will start at 3:45 pm to 4:30 pm
  • Games will be from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm

Annual Family-School Relationship Survey

YES Prep values your feedback! To ensure we continue to provide high-quality, rigorous learning experiences that meet the needs of our learners and prepare them for college and career, we need your input. On Monday, April 12, you received an email with a unique link to take our annual Family-School Relationships Survey to gain insight into your perception of our school and district effectiveness.

We have partnered with Panorama Education to conduct our 2021 Family Survey. Panorama safeguards your privacy, keeping your responses confidential. The survey shouldn’t take more than a few minutes to complete and will be a valuable source of information for us as we work to make our schools and district the best they can be.

Complete the survey online between Monday, April 12 and Friday, April 30 using a computer, tablet, or smartphone. Be on the lookout for an email from Panorama. We thank you in advance for your thoughtful responses.
